We would say that communication is the most important thing when doing any project. Communication with Tradespeople, especially at the early stages of your project (even before anything has been agreed), right through to finish. Be clear and concise with what you want and expect. Do have regular planned meetings to discuss how things are progressing so any issues can be ‘nipped in the Bud’. Don’t forget to communicate with your neighbors too, let them know what you are proposing and any disruptions that might occur.
